Too Faced | Peaches & Cream

For my readers who lives in Houston, the Caribbean islands, Florida, and anywhere else that are currently being affected by Hurricane Harvey/Hurricane Irma, my prayers go out to each and every single one of you.

I've been busy with work and the school semester started for me as well, which is why I haven't been posting at all. I apologize for the inconsistency, but on the bright side, I have been testing and trying out new products these past few weeks. Quite a lot of new K-beauty and Western products were added into my collection so I am excited for the upcoming reviews~
• • • • • • • • •

As you can tell from the title, I will be reviewing Too Faced Cosmetics newest collection "Peaches & Cream". There are currently 11 products in the entire collection and as much as I wish I could own it all, my wallet only allowed me to purchase 3 products from the collection.
Before the launch date, Sephora was on a roll with the e-mail notifications about the early arrival of Peaches & Cream. A moment of appreciation goes to Sephora because they definitely made sure nobody missed out on it.

So without further ado, let's get peachy:

Labiotte | Wine Lip Tint & Lipstick { RD01 & RD03 }

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is just right around the corner. I can't believe Summer is almost over... it honestly felt like yesterday was just the beginning of June. Summer 2017 flew by extremely fast for me... I didn't do anything exciting this Summer except work, work, and work.

So you know how people say "I would love a glass of wine right now" when they're under stress or very upset about something? Well, you can bring a bottle of wine with you everywhere you go.... on your lip! Although I don't drink wine, I'm more than happy to wear it instead.
Around a month ago, I was browsing through Yesstyle (an online store that sells a large selection of Asian cosmetic products) and I came across the brand: L a b i o t t e. I was super intrigued by their love for wine especially the packaging! I knew I had to somehow get my hands on their lip products.

Without further ado, let's jump right into the review

Missha | M Magic Cover Cushion SPF 50+ / PA +++ NO. 23

Yesterday, I posted this review on Korean-Beauty Amino (an app for everyone who loves Korean Beauty from skincare, makeup, and haircare) and it gained a lot of good responses! My review got a chance to be featured alongside with other great reviews as well! Not bad despite the fact that I joined the platform just 2 days ago, haha.
If you've read my past reviews, I consistently talk about how much I enjoy wearing light coverage because minimal is more  for me. This time around, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try a medium - full coverage cushion compact.

This product is no stranger to some of you guys because it's literally the MOST raved cushion compacts on the Korean beauty market right now.

Glossier | Generation G "CAKE" & "ZIP Sheer Matte Lipstick

I was in the city yesterday and I stopped by the Glossier showroom in Lafayette, NYC to see what the buzz was all about. When I first heard about Glossier coming to NYC, I thought it was going to be a simple cute walk-in store...turns out the Glossier showroom is all the way up in a penthouse! When you first walk into the place, there will be someone at the entrance to greet you and ask if you're going up to the showroom (Glossier's offices are located below the showroom). You have to take the elevator up to the penthouse and holy cow, it was the most smoothest elevator ride I have ever been in. At one point, I even thought we were stuck in the elevator because I didn't feel it or hear it moving.

Glossier is a new trend brand that's super in right now for the hot season due to their skincare and makeup. I've read a few articles about Glossier on Influenster (mainly about their skincare) and... I really didn't understand why so many beauty gurus were raving about Glossier.
So, I decided to venture out to see what the hype is all about.

Laneige | BB Cushion - Pore Control SPF 50+ PA+++ #21

After my last review on Kicho Aroha Glow CC Cushion (you can read about it here), I knew I had to invest my money in another cushion. I can't believe I am so, so late on these portable cushion compacts while everybody else owns about 20+ of em' already. I didn't think cushion compacts were that big of a deal back then--- I simply viewed cushion compacts as just foundation + skincare mixed in together in a round compact with a sponge applicator. However, I have officially converted to using only cushion compacts now. I still use my foundation here and there when I'm indoor in the morning time and go out at night time.

One of the reasons why I purchased this was because of Morgan (She's also known as "TheBeautyBreakdown" on Youtube). She did a thorough review of this cushion compact on her channel and I immediately knew I had to get my hands on this.
If you're a fan of Amore Pacific CC cushion, you're most likely going to like this Laneige BB cushion because Laneige is under the same umbrella brand as Amore Pacific.

Here's the perfect cushion for the Summer season:

Tatcha | Cameilla Cleansing Oil + Water Cream +Aburatorigami Blotting Papers

The other day as I was doing a facial on this lovely client of mine, she asked me: "What is your favorite Skincare brand?" I paused for a long time to think, then I said, "I don't know."
I do have my fair share of current and past brands that I personally enjoy using and would recommend to my friends... but none of em' keeps me at "wow" for a long time. Does that make sense?
The following night, I separated my skincare products into two groups: "most enjoyable" and "just okay". I thoroughly thought through that question with each products on how it would fit into my "top favorite"---
I guess it's because there are so many skincare brands on the market (as well as overly hyped products on social media) that I may have fail to notice a skincare brand that could have been a potential top favorite brand.

With all that being said, I can confidently say: " T a t c h a is my current top favorite Skincare brand. "
P.S: All opinions are my own. I am not being paid to write this review.

I have tried a lot of Tatcha products but today's review will mainly focus on:

Milk Makeup | Sunshine Skin Tint SPF 30 & Matte Bronzer

The first time I saw the gondola for Milk Makeup at Sephora, I thought it was a Japanese brand. Months later, I found out Milk Makeup was in fact made in the USA. I think it's the white scheme and their overall packaging has a modern hippie with a little retro feel that has people confused on the origin of Milk Makeup. For some odd reason, I would see the gondola every time I clock in for work but I never got a chance to play around with the makeup. Until I attended a training for Milk Makeup hosted by Sephora, that's when I decided to swatch and take home samples of the brand (because I am sensitive)

Lately, I have also been seeing a lot of Youtubers and Instagramers doing reviews on Milk Makeup. Due to the constant exposure of Milk Makeup on my feed, I was motivated to venture out and I brought home two products from Milk Makeup!
For today, I want to share my own experience on Milk Makeup:

Kicho | Aroha Glow CC Cushion - #23

I'm back with another Korean beauty product review! Last month, I had the privilege to join BNTgirls! Basically, BNTgirls is a group of beauty editors for BNTnews Korea. BNTnews is a Korea-based Fashion, Beauty, and Entertainment magazine in English. Everything you want/need to know on the latest news on your favorite idols and latest beauty trends in Korea is right here on: BNTnews
This is going to be my first review with BNTnews, which I'm SUPER EXCITED about because I am now able to branch out to more Korean products to review for you guys!
Grab some snacks because this review will be lengthy.

To be honest, this is my first time using and owning a CC cushion compact or any cushion compacts in general. In the past, I have tried Missha SPF 42+ PA+++ BB cream but it was a little too heavy for my liking and the darkest shade (No. 23) was still not dark enough for me. Which is why I mainly stick to wearing foundation.
To be noted: I received this as part of my July Beauty Box from BNTnews. My opinions are completely my own.

Influenster | Maybelline Master Chrome Voxbox

I receieved my FIRST VOXBOX in the mail! In my Cane + Austin review,  I mentioned briefly about Influenster and the idea of what a Voxbox is. So for today's post, I will be reviewing:
M a y b e l l i n e | Master C h r o m e
Which was June's Voxbox theme!
And along with the review, I will leave details on how I received this free Voxbox from Influenster and the many questions a lot of people seem to have regarding the Influenster platform.

IN A SHORT PARAGRAPH:  I joined Influenster through a friend's invitation roughly around 3-4 weeks ago. The first few hours after I signed up, I was scanning my favorite products at home left and right and reviewing each products deliberately. I was hooked on receiving badges and hearts from other beauties---- then, I received an e-mail from Influenster about being on a "short list" for the next month's Voxbox. My curiosity led me to fill out a 2-3 questions survey, then I filled in my address, and submitted the survey. Within a week, I received another e-mail saying my Voxbox was on its way.

Son & Park | Beauty Water

Happy 4th of July, everyone! I can't believe June already ended...
I thought about doing a June "empties" post where I show you guys all of the products that I have finished in the recent months--- but Son & Park Beauty Water deserves its own post.
I am all about double cleansing--- even before my cleansing oil, I have to make sure I use a makeup wipe to remove the first layer of makeup. Then I follow up with my cleansing oil to break down any remaining traces of makeup, sunscreen, and morning skincare. Afterward, I always end it with my regular cleanser. A good skincare routine starts off first with a clean skin, and that will always be my belief.
I put a lot of effort into my nighttime skincare routine but I have to admit, I neglect my morning skincare routine a lot.
Which is why, when I saw this product at Sephora, I knew it would fit perfectly well into my morning routine.

Too Cool For School | Haul Review

Hi! I hope everyone had a great weekend! To my old and new readers, you guys are amazing in your own ways ❤ I usually don't start off my post with a greeting but I figured it would be nice to send positive vibes to everyone. We all need it especially with all the negativity in the real world
My previous post was on my experience at the Too Cool For School event. If you guys haven't check it out yet, click here
As promised, I am doing a H A U L review on the goodies that I picked up from TCFS! I didn't purchase anything "crazy" because I already have so much at home. This will not be a detailed review-- I'm pretty much going to summarize the key points and go straight into my honest opinion on the products.

Too Cool For School | K-Beauty Summer Kickoff Event

If you follow me on social media, you probably have already seen me rave about my excitement yesterday through numerous snapchats, FB live, and boomerangs on IG!
I was invited by Too Cool For School for their K-Beauty Summer Kickoff Event in Soho, NYC! The time I attended was 6 pm - 8 pm in which it was closed to the public and only invited guests were allowed in.
Truthfully speaking, when I saw the e-mail invitation from TCFS, I was surprised. I said to myself, "I'm invited? Me? No way."
Never in a million years would I have imagined myself attending any of these type of events but I am thankful for TCFS for making it happen for me! Thank you!

DISCLOSURE: This post is NOT sponsored. I am not paid by TCFS for writing this. Everything is based on my own experience at the event.

Neogen | Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser

I am back with another Korean skincare review! I'm trying my best to post more often now since I have more free time. Recently, Influenster posted a "Beach Essentials" contest and one of the activities was to share a favorite Summer essential. I immediately thought of this product and I couldn't wait to write a review on it because it's one of the best cleanser/mask I've used so far.
I have to say, I have been loving Korean skincare a lot. I have yet to try any Korean cosmetics but I'm looking forward to soon! This product is NOT new on the market but it is new at Sephora. The packaging caught my attention immediately and then the two words "Canadian Clay" had me wanting to try it.

So without further ado:

HudaBeauty | "Trendsetter" & "Flirt" Liquid Matte Lipstick

If I was stranded on an Island and I could only bring 3 cosmetic products with me, I would definitely pick a lippie first, then a sunscreen and a deodorant stick. Seriously, I love trying new lip products out. Much like the perfect eyebrows, I personally feel like lipsticks can really tie your whole look together. Even if you're going for a very subtle and natural look, a nude or pink undertone lipstick can freshen up your complexion.
Be sure to wear a SPF lip balm before you apply any matte lipstick!
This will be a short review on my new lippies addition (not that I don't already have enough) :

Sokoglam | Re:p | Hanskin | Mini-Haul Review & Mini-story on how I met Charlotte Cho

Growing up, I have always been fascinated with Korean skincare. Of course, K-drama plays a huge part in how I started learning more about the Korean culture. And I remember binge watching Full House (no shame), the main actress, Song Hye Kyo, has the most gorgeous skin ever. Her skin appeared very smooth with no texture, pearl-like complexion, and super moisturized with no fine lines! 'Till this day, she looks like she hasn't aged at all! Like seriously, what is her skincare secret

Recently, I had the chance to meet Charlotte Cho, the co-founder of Sokoglam. She hosted a meet & greet / book signing at her mini-pop up shop at Bloomingdale - Soho, New York. Oh my god, I am not even exaggerating when I say, she's the most sweetest and down-to-earth person ever. I waited about half an hour on the line and when it was finally my turn, Charlotte greeted me with a warm smile and hugged me. I took out my book and I told her my name was Mango (not my real name), and she giggled and said, "Mango? That's a first time." I wanted to talk to her a little longer but I didn't want to hold up the line so I gave her another hug and I dashed off to purchase a few items.

My mini-haul from Sokoglam:
R e : p. Organic Cotton Treatment. Toning P a d.
H a n s k i n. Bio-orgin. 3-6-9 o i l.

Featuring Charlotte's book, The Little Book of Skin care: Korean Beauty Secrets for Healthy, Glowing Skin

Belif | Peat Miracle Revital Serum & Cream

As much as I love experimenting with makeup, skincare is what I'll always look forward to at the end of my day. Just the feeling of melting my makeup and daytime skincare off with an oil cleanser already feels like a million bucks.
There's one thing I noticed about people and skincare = it's all about quick, easy, and effective. I get it, nobody has the time to do 5+ steps at night (unlike an average Korean gal who does about 10-13 steps on a regular basis). Personally, I do about 8 steps every single night: makeup wipes, oil cleanser, cleanser, toner, essence, oil/serum, eye cream, and moisturizer (10 if I add in exfoliating and masks which I do 1-2 times a week). But that's another topic--- I do plan on doing a review on my day or night time skincare routine soon!
This is an unbiased 100% honest review of:
B e l i f.  P e a t.  M i r a c l e.  R e v i t a l
S e r u m.  &  C r e a m.

For the longest time, I kept typing "Belif" as "Belief" in my search bar.

Huda Beauty | Faux Mink - Farah #12

Previously, I did my first HudaBeauty review on my absolute favorite lashes, Samantha #7. Since I had a 3 hour gap today between my two classes, I decided to go kill some time at World Trade Center.  My first stop was (of course) Sephora. I ended up purchasing this beauty right here! I had a hard time choosing between Carmen lashes #9 and Farah. I really wanted to buy both but my wallet says no, so in the end,
F a u x M i n k - F a r a h #12 wins.

As some of you may not know, HudaBeauty has 4 Lashes Collections: Classic, Eazy, Faux Mink, and Mink. (Faux Mink are synthetic whereas Mink are authentic)

Huda Beauty | Samantha Lashes #7

If you're a falsie lover, like myself, you're going to like this.
Huda Kattan, known for her cosmetic line, Huda Beauty, is well-known among the beauty world. She is a sensation, an entrepreneur, a makeup artist, and so much more. This woman is a genius.
Quick side story, I started wearing false eyelashes a little over a year ago. I did not know how to properly apply falsie on before... the lashes would be too long for my eyes because I didn't know how to cut them. I remember buying Ardell lashes at Rite Aid and those stiff falsies at the Korean beauty store, and those lashes were not the most comfortable lashes to wear. Fast forward to present day 2017, I am currently obsessed with these lashes:
H U D A B E A U T Y . L A S H E S
#7 . S A M A N T H A

I have a lippie commitment issue because whenever I walk into a beauty store, I would see a bunch of different lip brands and this would be the conversation I have in my head: "do I already have this shade? Like, this. exact. shade. It looks similar but this one is a little bit darker and have more red undertone than the one I have at home--- it also has way cuter packaging. So I definitely need this. Sold.
The other day was Sephora Collection, today, the spotlight is on:
N U D E S T I X . L I P P I E

Below are 7 lippie which consists of (2) "Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil", (2) "Nudestix Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil", and (3) "Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip color".

Sephora Collection | Cream Lip Stain

Ever since the two terms "matte" and "lip"conquered the beauty world, every single brands out there has somehow formulated their own kind of matte lipstick, matte lip stain, matte lip tint, m a t t e.
I love matte lipstick but the problem is that I am so picky with finding the right kind of matte lipstick, and I know you know exactly what I'm talking about.
The "perfect" matte lip product has to be hydrating, pigmented, and long-lasting.

So for today's post, I want to share with you :
S e p h o r a . C o l l e c t i o n . C r e a m . L i p S t a i n .
Some people may not be aware of this but Sephora has their own brand which is called "Sephora Collection". The other brands that are sold at Sephora are simply... sold at Sephora.

Guerlain | Terracotta Sun Trio Bronzing Contour Palette

First off, I just want to quickly say thank you to the lovely and talented, Jeanne, for gifting me this. You're the bomb (dot) com!

Looking back at my previous posts, I've mostly reviewed Skincare products... so for today, I've decided to post my review and swatches on the:
Guerlain: Terracotta Sun Trio Bronzing Contour Palette
Can we somehow shorten the name?
About 2-3 months ago, Guerlain launched its new bronzing and contouring powder palette. Just in time for the Summer 2017 season!

If you're wondering, it's very similar to its sister's product: 4 Seasons Palette. The main difference is that 4 Seasons includes a blush shade, this one does not. This palette is available in three shades (light, natural, and deep). Also, it has been confirmed that this palette is not a limited edition product. I am not sure why other bloggers listed it as one... but here's a clarification to any confusion you may have.
