Too Cool For School | Haul Review

Hi! I hope everyone had a great weekend! To my old and new readers, you guys are amazing in your own ways ❤ I usually don't start off my post with a greeting but I figured it would be nice to send positive vibes to everyone. We all need it especially with all the negativity in the real world
My previous post was on my experience at the Too Cool For School event. If you guys haven't check it out yet, click here
As promised, I am doing a H A U L review on the goodies that I picked up from TCFS! I didn't purchase anything "crazy" because I already have so much at home. This will not be a detailed review-- I'm pretty much going to summarize the key points and go straight into my honest opinion on the products.

First product: Coconut Milky Mist. I love anything that has to do with Coconut, Shea butter, and Argan. The fact that this is in a mist and it helps to freshen up my makeup sold me immediately. I even did a boomerang of me using this mist at the TCFS store on IG!
A lot of people seem to hate the smell of Coconut but for some odd reason, I love it! This Coconut Milky Mist contains 87% Coconut water.

My foundation usually melts off my skin by the 4th-5th hour due to the humid weather. I used this mist before I touch up and I have to admit... I hate how I have to hold the spray close to my face in order for the mist to touch my skin. If I spray it further away from my skin like most regular facial mists, the mist will vanish into thin air. I have to pat the remaining coconut water into my skin after I spray it. I like that it's light-weight because of the fine mist and for the price, it can be considered as a good dupe to the Marc Jacob Coconut Spray. Honest opinion:  I wasn't super impressed with this mist. It did a decent job at freshening up my makeup and hydrating my skin during this humid weather. However, there was no "refreshing" feeling (I felt like I was spraying regular water onto my skin) nor is the spray that great either. I personally felt like I wasted more product just by trying to spray it onto individual areas of my face because I couldn't spray it from far away. Rating: 2.5/5.

Second Product: Marshmallow Puff - Beauty Blender. I have never owned any beauty blenders before--- I have always used my fingers or brushes. I know, you're probably thinking: "fingers? really?" Trust me, your fingers come in handy when you're in a rush in the morning. I just felt like I never needed one but I decided to pick up one up anyway and see what the craze is all about on beauty blenders.
It's a bit more stiff than the normal beauty blenders at Sephora or drugstore brands. At first I was a bit thrown off because I wasn't sure how it's going to blend my liquid foundation in since it's not "bouncy". After the first try, I instantly fell in love it. I love the finishing result and I wet this beauty blender with Tarte Marine Boosting Mist before blending! It does take a little longer than my brushes but it's totally worth it in the end. I personally love dewy and light coverage-- basically, the less coverage the better for me. It helps evenly distribute my foundation without the "streaks" appearance and I only need 1 pump for my whole face thanks to the beauty blender! Which means my foundation will last a little longer.
Rating: 10/10.

Third Product: Glam Rock Metalhead - 02 "Pink Quartz". In my previous post, I wrote about how I originally came to the event with a simple goal: "more makeup, less skincare" and.... I walked out with only one makeup product. Mission failed, maybe next time!
The name of the product and the actual color doesn't really match? I definitely see the Quartz part but I expected the shade to be more... pink?
I love how creamy and pigmented this is! If you think powder eye shadow is much easier, think again. You simply glide it on your eye lid and just pat the color in using your pinky to soften it. It's so easy and I love the fact that it doesn't mess up my base color. In the past, I have tried a couple of cream based eye shadows. None of em' really stood out to me because it's either not pigmented enough or it doesn't blend in well with other shadows. I can definitely see myself incorporating this into my everyday makeup look except I really wish this was more pink hmm I'm so glad this is not a jar container because knowing my clumsiness, it would have been messy if it dropped on the floor. I find that the pen packaging is a clever idea since it provides an easier application and it's mess free!
Last week, I had to run a few errands and attend class, so I figured it would be a good day to test out this product. I was BEYOND impressed with how pigmented it still was after 9 hours. By the end of the day, my lipstick smudged off, and my wing liner faded, and my face was oily but the shadow was still intact
Rating: 10/10

Fourth Product: Coconut Oil Serum Eye Patch. My instant reaction of this product when I teared it open is: "wow, you can really smell the coconut". If you dislike the smell of coconut, be aware: this is overloaded with the coconut aroma.

Now, I love every single type of masks. My drawer is filled with wash-off masks, 1 minute facial masks, splash masks, sheet masks, etc. I always make sure to use a sheet mask once a week and a wash off mask twice a week (to draw out impurities). So it was natural for me to pick up... more masks. What caught my attention was the two words: "oil serum". I love facial oils but I barely use a serum for my skin (I only own one serum and that's Belif Peat Miracle Serum). I put it to the test and I wanted to see how hydrating it can be. After all, coconut is known to deliver intense hydration to the skin. HONEST OPINION: I placed this in the fridge for 30 seconds because I love the cooling effect and it helps to de-puff my eyes. Truthfully, it's not bad at all. It definitely hydrated my eye areas but it didn't really "wow" me. I personally have hereditary dark circles so when I purchase eye masks, I am more concerned for brightening more than hydrating. I did not notice a major difference ONLY because I am used to using eye masks that are meant for TREATING MY DARK CIRCLES more than maintaining the hydration level. I would definitely use this before doing my makeup to help my concealer stay on longer and not crease into my fine lines.
Rating: 8.5/10

Final product: Coconut Oil Serum Mask. The coconut aroma is a bit more overwhelming in this mask but it's not to the point where it's unbearable. Just to throw it out there, I am a HUGE FAN of TCFS Egg Masks. I love, love, love, how hydrating the Egg Mask is! It instantly brightens up my skin as well. I always make sure to re-stock the sets (not even the individual ones) because I absolutely love it.
I figured since I picked up the eye patches, it would make sense to pick up the sheet masks as well. One thing I absolutely love about TCFS sheet masks is that each packet is filled with a lot of essence! TIP: You can re-use the sheet masks by popping it in the fridge overnight since there are a lot of essence leftover!
Unlike the Egg mask, this sheet mask is more sheer and it feels more light-weight. I leave every sheet masks on for 30 minutes even if the direction says to leave it on for 15-20 minutes, haha.
Honest Opinion: It definitely hydrated the heck out of my skin! I'm not going to lie, it left a weird tacky feeling after I removed it. I never had this feeling with my other sheet masks. It did not irritate my skin which is a huge plus for my combo/oily skin Thumbs Up
Rating: 9.5/10

Too Cool For School definitely read my mind because they gave me two Egg Cream Mask in my goodie bag! Heart Thank you once again to TCFS! I can't wait to try out the Egg Mousse Soap (the packaging is limited edition, not the product). I own their Cleansing gel and I recently started using it again for the Summer season. I might consider doing a TCFS Cleansing Gel vs. Egg Mousse Soap cleanser review type of post. La la la la
As always, thank you for reading my post!
Have a happy fourth of July! Eat lots and have fun! Heart
